It wasn’t a romantic idyll. Monaco was a lonely, painful life for her in many ways. I got the impression watching interviews with the couple over the years that they were not close. In a Christophers interview in the 1960s there was a definite chill in the air. They sat as far from each other as they could without falling off the settee and scarcely ever looked at each other. I’d say the truth of the marriage is shown in the way their children turned out.

She is so beautiful. Im 22 and I wish women in Hollywood would take a lesson from the old Hollywood actresses. They were sexy without being vulgar and classless. They do not compare. I love old Hollywood if you can tell. She is one of my favorite actresses. Im glad she found her one true love. Its so romantic.

people make me mad when they say that Stephanie was driving the car that day. i wish she had been driving, then maybe they wouldn’t have gone over the cliff when Grace had the stroke & Stephanie could have gotten her to the hospital

I feel so lucky to have been able to see Princess Grace’s wedding gown on display a few years at the Philadelphia Museum of Art…it was truly even more gorgeous in person!

Two ceremonies by Monegasque law … I agree with you that it’s jarring how the narrator keeps repeating MaNOCKo. It’s quite funny, actually. Now we all know where the principality of Monaco is located, as we also know about the Grimaldi family’s history. But back in 1955, until Prince Rainier III and Grace Kelly got engaged, Monaco wasn’t on the globe as far as Americans were concerned.

I wonder why they had two marriage ceremonies? Does anyone know?
Thank you very much for posting this; I am a big fan of Grace Kelly. The documentary was very good (the only thing I cannot stand is the way the narrator says “Monaco”)

Keira Knightley’s face doesn’t even come close to the perfect proportions of Grace’s face..Keira has the worst smile ever…Grace was the epitome of elegance and beauty and she won’t be surpassed …ever…
