Sweden: Swedish Royal Wedding Princess Victoria of Sweden and Daniel (Kungliga Bröllopet)
Sweden hosted the biggest European royal wedding since that of Prince Charles and Lady Diana Spencer, when Crown Princess Victoria married commoner Daniel Westling. The marriage, a love match that has weathered the disapproval of the bride’s father, King Carl XVI Gustaf, who was initially horrified that his heir was marrying her former fitness trainer, and growing indifference from the Swedish public, who have increasingly questioned the monarchy’s modern relevance, took place in Stockholm’s Storkyrkan Cathedral late on Saturday afternoon.

Princess Victoria looked lovely, the wedding ceremony was touching, magnificent yet simple. Prince Daniel’s speech was exquisite and full of love and his father’s speech was very “fatherly” and so was the King’s. What made this wedding so unique was the way the couple was so spontaneous and Princess Victoria was so radiant and happy! They’ve found the sunshine of their lives in each other… and just looking at them that day, made me feel some sunshine in mine too! Wishing them everlasting joy!

Folk gnäller över att de Kungliga har förmåner som vi ”vanliga dödliga” inte har och att det är orättvist och odemokratiskt, men ingen bryr sig över att Kungafamiljen inte har dem mest grundliga rättigheterna som alla andra svenska medborgare har som yttrande frihet och rösträtt. @ittd2007 The Royal Family does far more for us then the politicians, they are actively working with stopping the sexual exploitation of children, helping handicapped people to have the same life quality as healthy people, fighting for human rights etc.
Princess Diana walked thru a mine field and risked her life for human rights when has a elected politician ever done that.

You are free to watch anything you like, but perhaps you should write ZDF a strong letter if you don’t approve how your broadcasting-fee is being used instead of complaining about the swedish monarchy on youtube.
